Standing-O for U2!

Kick it off with the big guns, huh? U2 has an album coming out later this month, No Line on the Horizon, and they sang what will probably be their first single from it. The picture to the right is their album cover, according to Rolling Stone.

U2 floats my boat and I love analyzing their lyrics so I thought it was awesome that they actually had the lyrics on the big screen. And with the American flag flying behind them I'm guessing the song was aimed at America. We'll see! Looking forward to the album.

  1. U2 isn't what it used to be. What the heck was that song? Boring!

  2. Did you see the story on 60 minutes about Coldplay? They gave mad props to U2 -- seems like a new battle of the bands in the works if you wask me.

  3. Did you see what Coldplay was wearing on the red carpet? I instantly thought 'Sergeant Pepper.' Do they think they're the new Beatles? Although, Austin didn't get that at all. He thought of 'N Synch.

  4. You misspelled Synch...any boy band fan would know it was N 'Sync!

  5. Most of Coldplay's tunes are pretty cool. "Viva" is one of their best...but I don't think they're the next Beatles....

Ok...U2...I'm eager to hear the album before I say anything. Generally, I love U2 and have been a fan of about 95 percent of their music.....

  6. I agree with U2 comment. I'm a huge fan, but the music does grow on me. Other than Beautiful Day, I don't remember hearing a song and loving it the first time.

  7. U2 is just a unique band and it seems like when they put out new stuff it's so much different than the previous material. Kind of help but like the stuff just because it's U2. Their older stuff October, Boy, War and The Unforgettable Fire, to me, are their best material.
